Adelina Garabet, MSW, LCSW
Founder & Lead Consultant, Impactful Insight
Adelina Garabet is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, trainer, and multi-sector leader with over 15 years of experience in human services, higher education, nonprofit management, and organizational development. She founded Impactful Insight to help mission-driven organizations and professionals deliver trauma-informed, client-centered, and sustainable care—without burnout.
A Career Rooted in Practice & Systems Change
Adelina’s career spans every level of the social work profession—from direct clinical work and crisis intervention to program management, student supervision, and organizational consulting. Her work is grounded in deep field experience with unhoused individuals, justice-involved populations, survivors of domestic violence, and those living with mental health and substance use challenges.
She has led frontline shelter teams, designed case management systems, delivered high-stakes clinical services, and consulted on strategic improvements for dozens of social service agencies. Alongside her consulting work, Adelina continues to provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples—maintaining a strong clinical foundation that informs all of her trainings and solutions. As a well-rounded social worker, Adelina ensures that her schedule also includes services for first responders and being part of the county's Regional Crisis Negotiation Team. Through this work Adelina keeps her skills sharp and relevant in an ever-changing society.
Educator & Mentor
As a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University School of Social Work, adjunct faculty at NYU Silver School of Social Work and practicum liaison at Ramapo College, Adelina teaches MSW students the real-world skills needed for ethical, effective practice. She also serves as a practicum liaison and practicum coordinator, coaching students and supporting agency partners throughout the learning process.
Her experience as an educator allows her to design training programs that are engaging, evidence-based, and immediately useful to professionals at all levels.
Business & Leadership Expertise
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Adelina has built and led a successful educational service business for over a decade, managing staff, partnerships, and large-scale program operations across the region. This unique blend of business acumen and clinical insight sets her apart as a consultant—helping organizations not just improve client outcomes, but build internal systems that are strategic, sustainable, and mission-aligned.

Whether it’s refreshing a community room or crafting thoughtful care packages, she believes in the power of small details to bring comfort, dignity, and joy.
This passion for sprucing up spaces and spreading kindness naturally evolved into Gifts with Purpose—a heartfelt initiative that combines creativity with community impact. Through this program, Adelina curates and delivers meaningful, hand-assembled gifts for individuals and families experiencing hardship, including those in shelters, transitional housing, or recovery programs.

At the core of everything Adelina does is family. She is a proud and devoted mother who finds her greatest joy in being present—on the sidelines coaching basketball, cheering at school events, or simply showing up for every big and small moment in her children’s lives. Whether organizing team snacks or late-night project help, she embraces motherhood with love, humor, and unwavering commitment.
Adelina was born and raised in Romania, in a tight-knit Armenian household grounded in love, resilience, and generosity. Those roots shaped her into the woman she is today—driven, service-minded, and always focused on lifting others up. She carries the values of her upbringing into every corner of her life and work: hospitality, hard work, and giving without hesitation.
